News-flash! Chief Uche Nnaji, PDP Chieftains Attend Burial of Late Mother of State Party Woman Leader, Lolo Chief Mrs. Adaora Irene Ozobu (Osodieme) in Enugu
The former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, on Friday joined a host of political leaders, stakeholders, and sympathizers at the burial of Late Lolo Chief Mrs. Adaora Irene Ozobu (Osodieme) (Nee Onukwo), mother of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Woman Leader in Enugu State, Princess Ekene Ozobu.
The funeral ceremony, held at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Imezi Owa, in Ezeagu Local Government Area of Enugu State, drew a large gathering of dignitaries who came to honour the memory of the late matriarch, who passed on at the age of 84.
Chief Nnaji attended the burial in the company of prominent personalities including Hon. Vitus Okechi, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Enugu State; Chief Cyprian Nnaji, Director-General, Contact and Mobilisation for the Nwakaibie Campaign Organisation; Dr. Nestor Ezeme, PDP Senatorial Aspirant for Enugu North Zone; Professor Bernard I. Odoh, former Secretary to the State Government (SSG) of Ebonyi State; and Comrade Fidelis Edeh, Chairman/Pro-Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, among other notable figures.
The burial mass was marked by solemn prayers, tributes, and reflections on the impactful life of the late Lolo, who was widely described as a woman of grace, dignity, and strong moral values. Speakers at the event extolled her commitment to family, community, and faith, noting that her legacy would continue to inspire generations.
In his brief remarks, Chief Nnaji extended heartfelt condolences to Princess Ekene Ozobu and the entire Ozobu family, urging them to take comfort in the exemplary life their mother lived and the values she upheld.
The interment followed immediately after the funeral mass, with a reception held in honour of guests, as friends, associates, and well-wishers gathered to celebrate the life and times of a respected matriarch.
The event witnessed a significant turnout of political leaders, party faithful, community members, and religious faithful, all united in paying their last respects to a woman remembered for her kindness, strength, and enduring contributions to her family and society.
