Breaking: PDP Clears Uche Nnaji For Enugu Guber
Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, former Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, has been screened and cleared as a gubernatorial aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the 2027 elections in Enugu State.
Nnaji was screened alongside other aspirants by the party’s screening committee at the PDP National Secretariat Annex, Legacy House, Maitama, Abuja, as part of ongoing preparations for the 2027 general elections.
Sources within the screening process disclosed that the former minister was asked to “take a bow and go,” a phrase commonly used by party panels to signify approval and clearance without objections.
The development effectively confirms his eligibility to contest in the party’s gubernatorial primary in Enugu State, positioning him among key contenders in the race.
The screening exercise is part of the PDP’s broader process to assess the credentials, capacity, and suitability of aspirants seeking to fly the party’s flag across various elective positions ahead of the 2027 polls.
Nnaji’s clearance is expected to further shape the political landscape in Enugu State, as stakeholders and party members begin to weigh options ahead of what is anticipated to be a competitive primary election.
